Kenny Baker who portrayed R2 D2 in all seven Star Wars films has died aged 81. Jimmy Vee had already been cast as R2 D2 in the upcoming Episode 8.
I was lucky enough to have met Kenny Baker and get his autograph. This was at Star Wars Celebration VIII which took place in London only last month.
He along, with Anthony Daniels have been all the live action Star Wars films. He is the first of the original crew to die.
