Doctor Who legend Robert Banks Stewart has died aged 84.
He has written three Doctor Who stories (one was a co-write). All three are considered some of the best Doctor Who's with one of them being in the top 10 of all time. He has also created the monsters known as the Zygons that have recently returned to Doctor Who. Outside of Doctor Who he is best known for creating the TV Series Bergerac.
He isn't just a fan favourite writer but one of mine too. The Talons of Weng Chiang is my second favourite Doctor Who of all time.
