Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi: A Few Thoughts

The trailer has been released for the 8th episode of the Skywalker Saga

Well the trailer didn't give to much away but unfortunately it does look similar to the Empire Strikes Back. Rey being trained by Luke is similar to Luke being trained by Yoda and the other rebels seem to be at a white themed planet or in space, again similar to The Empire Strikes Back.

I have to say that the trailer did not excite me like any trailer for the Force Awakens or Rogue One which is a shame. Daisy Rigly who plays Rey has stated that it is the most different Star Wars film of the main saga. This I find hard to believe due to similarities that are unavoidable thanks to the Force Awakens with Rey being left on Anch-To with Luke.

The trailer indicates more to do for Poe Dameron who had a less than main role in the last film having 6th most amount in the film. He is the Princess Leia of the new era so if that is anything to go by he will say the 5th most in this film however I think he will actually say 3rd or 4th or perhaps even 2nd. Of the main three of the last trilogy, Luke said the most in the first one and second in the other two, where Han, who was second in the first one and first in the last two. Finn does not have much inclusion to the trailer but perhaps they don't want to give too much away with his story. Rey definitely seems to be the focus of the story along with Luke, who I don't think will say as much as Han in the last film because the story will be split into two bits.

Well there we go a new trailer. We will expect two more to come.
