Class Series 1: A Summary

2016 - the year with no Doctor Who. Doctor Who's move to the spring caused the original Autumn period to not have any Doctor Who so the young adult drama Class filled its place. Class was a the first spin off since the Sarah Jane Adventures finished in 2011. SJA and Torchwood were both very successful, this however was not. Class was put onto BBC Three, which is fine because that's were Torchwood started off. However it was on BBC One at 10.45pm on a Monday night watched by about 0.3 million people which is a tiny amount. This timeslot along with the one on Wednesday night is the least watched television programme of the week so the BBC weren't expecting Class to get many views. My estimation is that Class will not return for a second series despite the mighty cliffhanger at the end. If it doesn't return then it is almost 100% confirmed that the weeping angels will be back in Series 10 of Doctor Who for a so called "Arrival". This would make sense at the actor who plays Ram has said that he is in Series 10 so we probably will see the cast of Class again.

My view of Class is that is was a poorly acted and not that great of a drama series and not one I would watch if it was not linked to Doctor Who. My ranking of the series episodes goes as follows:

8. The Coach with the Dragon Tatoo
7. Nightvisiting
6. Brave-ish Heart
5. Co Owner of a Lonely Heart
4. Detained
3. The Metaphysical Engine or What Quill Did
2. The Lost
1. For Tonight We Might Die
