Film Reviews #9: Dad's Army (2016)

Dad's Army by Hamish McColl

A film best on the TV Series with the same name from the 1960's and 70's

Main Cast

Captain Mainwring: 8/10 - Greatly acted just not the best of the platoon
Seargent Wilson: 8/10 - Same as the above
Lance Corporol Jones: 9/10 - Very funny character and well acted. He should have featured more.
Private Godfrey: 10/10 - Very funny and my favourite of the platoon. Greatly acted by Michael Gambon
Private Pike: 7/10 - Funny but not the funniest.
Private Walker: 6/10 - The Least funniest of the platoon
Private Frazer: 7/10 - Funny but not in the film enough.
Total:  53/70 

Secondary Cast

Mrs Pike: 7/10 - A Brilliant controlling character
Mrs Fox: 7/10 - Very funny also
Vera: 6/10 - Sweet character but not a lot to do.
Warden Hughs: 7/10 - Good enemy but not in it as much as he should be
Total: 27/40

Enemy Rating

Rose Winters: 7/10 - Perfectly fine villain but I guest that she was a spy very early on

Story Rating

Story: 7/10 - The story was some what missing in parts and slow in the middle.
Seriousness: 6/10 - A German invasion is serious but it doesn't seem to be in this.
Scariness: 5/10 - A part from the shooting at the end it isn't scary at all
Humour: 10/10 - Classic British Humour
Continuity: 8/10 - Some things were a little obvious in places.
Total: 35/50
